I have a Secret!!!!

And I’m not going to tell you!!!! Oh, okay I will…. There is a little store in SL where you can get some really nice clothes for a fair price… The Secret Store!! And yes, that’s the name.

The sweater shown above is the Secret Store’s Peace On Earth 3 Hunt prize, and the bra is part of the freebie set @ L.Inc.

There are some freebies out in the store. One of the freebies is this cute little white blouse, and the black jacket (below).

Dollarbies Galore!

Over the last few days I have managed to bag a few dollarbies. **Prism** has a new monthly dollarbie, in a subdued autumn palette. This was one outfit I have kept as it be put together with other items, such as this lovely jacket from Jane.

Whilst doing the Addicted to Halloween Hunt, one store I had never been to before was Insatiable Fashions [IF]. After having found the ATTH pumpkin, I browsed a bit and found some items that were on sale for 1L$! I didn’t browse the whole store though.

There is a pumpkin hunt going on at Calico Ingmann Creations… Some contain hair and others, skin. The hair comes in 4 colour-ways: Candycorn, Halloween, Pumpkin Patch & Spooky.

I have 2 posts for you today….The usual Double Dose will be done later (have some new stuff to show you).

I have found some truely great stores in SL, thanks to my friends and to the blogs I read. I have plans for a daily post throughout this week, showing stuff I got from Sn@tch, owned by Ivey Deschanel. I had challenged myself to spend no more than 300L$ in the store. With this tight budget, I tp’d to the Freebie/Cheapie section of Sn@tch and had 25L$ left after getting some good stuff for 25L$ or 50L$ a piece, plus some freebies.

But back to this post, a few days ago I threw this outfit together, using what I had in my SL wardrobe already. The only new thing is the hair.

For those who know me in SL will probably have seen me dressed as a goth (and not all in black ) or in a grunge/urban kind of style. For the past few months it has been the latter, although I have plans for a few gothy posts (watch this space).

I usually use my hubby’s photo studio when taking piccies, but when I tried to use it today, I ended up flying off the modelling table . So I had to resort to doing some outside piccies. As I was aleady dressed in a grunge/urban kind of way, I decided to check out the Missing Mile roleplay area on the Soap sim.

Hi there!

I know that I am late with this post but I have very tired lately, and wanted to really relax over the weekend. One thing I did do was take the photos for this blog.

Another weekend, so another Double Dose, and this time, I have 2  further outfits made up from the box of goodies given to me by Soma Mayo.

I was in the mood for denim, and so created this look. The jacket with shirt was a group gift from Soma. I really like nicely gradient shaded textures, and the length of the jacket is just right.  The jeans are fabulous, great shading with the seams darker while the rest is faded and worn…. just like a pair I used to own in RL .  Good work, Soma!!!!! Love your jeans

The neckerchief I got from my friend Evie’s store for 60L$!!!!! She has some nice tanktops and other stuff available at her store and also on Xstreet SL.

In contrast to the denim, I tried to create a sexy club outfit. Hope you like it.

It is not very often that I  wear a tattoo, but I chose one that I have had in my inventory for some time, from Inks & Kinks. I love roses, not becasue of the scent that some have, but the many shapes and colours you can get.

Moving into new flat on Saturday, YAY !!!!  However, there is no phone or internet , so I will be offline for 2-3 weeks whilst I wait for broadband equipment to be delivered.

So before I briefly disappear into the internet’s equivalent of ether, I have decided to make another summer blog.

A quick question for all you fashionistas…..Do you love to mix & match, or do you prefer buying whole outfits? (please DON’T send any notecards to me LOL)

Personally, I do both. However, lately I have been mixing and matching, as you can have loads of different looks with very few clothing items. Accessories, such as jewellery, are essential. I also find having a black pair of either leggings or trousers is essential, although you may have your own favourite essential items of clothing

The top is from MALT, and comes with a black floral undershirt (which I have chosen not to show here). The top comes on the shirt & jacket layers, and the undershirt on the undershirt and shirt layers.  I have chosen to wear it with the black trousers from fri.day, which comes with prim leg cuffs for both high-heels and flat-soled shoes.

The jewellery is from the Leaf collection at Shiny Things, available as separate items for each of the 4 seasons.I chose the Autumn set as I like the colours of autumn, from the fiery reds to the burnt oranges and ambers. Also the jewellery is not too heavy and domineering when worn, so it nicely compliments the floral pattern of the top.

As the overall colour palate is on the somber side, I chose the Jessica 05 makeup (peach skintone) from Laqroki.

Summer Newness

Carrying from the Summer is Here post, I thought I would blog 2 variations of my current look in SL.

Although Beauty Avatar may be familiar to most residents in regards to the skins and shapes on sale, the designers behind the Beauty Avatar label have ventured into designing clothes. Having noticed on the Beauty Avatar blog that they had just released a new collection, I thought I would pop in and have a look.

One of the items on sale is the ‘Jenna’ tunic. It has a checkerboard pattern and comes in 6 colours (Brown, Fuxia (sic), Blue, White, Emerald and Grey).  The top is on layers which to me is a must, as I am known occasionally to be wearing a tattoo or underies.

New to me is Laqroki Skins. Shibari (my beloved) gave me the landmark to the store some time ago, after my blog on skins, so the other week I decided to go and check it out. Like all stores that sell skins, they have free demos, often in fat packs. I will admit that I spent the best part of 6000 L$ on skins from Laqroki.

I purchased the ‘Jessica’ skin in the Peach & Fair skintones. Both fat packs contained 8 makeups with either brown or blonde brows, making a total of 16 skins in each fatpack. I also brought the ‘Claudia’ skin in the Peach skintone. Both Jessica and Claudia are from the Glow skin range.

fri.day is a new store in SL, and the following is taken directly from the fri.day blog (see my blogroll for the link)

Our first collection consists of mostly basics. We wanted to start with a good selection of separates that people could mix and match with anything in their wardrobe. We have a lot more planned beyond just the basics so keep an eye on fri.day!

As I had seen a review of this store on Evie’s blog, I thought I would have a look. They have the basic clothing items in store at the moment, but the quality of the design is very high…. I can’t wait to see the new releases.

I bought a few items at fri.day, including the Basic Leggings and Basic Flats, both in Black. The Basic Flats are not shown here, as I chose to wear the navy Saturday Flats from Shiny Things.
