Winter Freebies

Most of us will be experiencing the fun of having to go to work in the snow at the moment. So today I bring a bit of winter fun and sun in warmer climes for those of us who travel overseas to escape the snow and cold.

The winter fun is a mix of OoEas! and Indie Rose… The sweater dress is a current MM prize from OoEas! and the white Ugg boots are the subscribo gift from Indie Rose, a store that I have just discovered although I have heard of it.

My current eyes are by my friend, Evie, for the For The Love of…Ice Festival which starts December 6th and runs to December 27th. The eyes and Ice Queen makeup (x2) are the FTLO hunt items. There are 2 different eyes… The one that I chose to wear with one big snowflake and the others have lots of small snowflakes.

The second outfit is a freebie from Paradisis… It comes in two colours, teal (as shown) and magenta.

Boom time for freebies & cheapies

I was meant to post this yeterday, but I wasn’t feeling to well and decided to go bed early. No doubt you have seen the latest releases from Boom on the feeds… I am not one for going with the crowd, although whilst checking out the new Love Me skirts, I did pick up some free/cheap gifts.

There are 5 gift bags varying in price from 0L$ to 25L$, and I have selected some of the items to show you.

The lovely turquoise & gold top is part of the Miami Nights bodysuit available for 0L$. I chose to pair it with the Getting Low pants (10L$). The hair was Raspberry Aristocrat’s freebie at the Hair Fair 2010.

The Lucky Hoodie was 10L$ and is the only unisex item available. I paired it with Kyoot’s Nonsensical pants, which I think are an old 50L$ Friday item. The trainers are from Indi Designs and are to be found in the discount section in the basement for 125L$ (not cheap but are worth every L$).

September Freebie Mix

I have been out and about the grid getting some bargains for you. As usual I have 3 outfits for you.

First up is the Spetember freebie from SF Designs and a cheapie from Kyoot at The Dressing Room Blue.

The blazer can be worn as a casual jacket (as shown) or as part of a school uniform. The white piping reminds me of the jackets worn at events like the Henley Regata by members of various sailing and yachting clubs. The leggings are from Kyoot and are an exclusive item at The Dressing Room Blue (as Kyoot are a guest designer). This must be Emmi’s favourite spontaneous outfit at the moment.

The second is one that you can create at least 4 different looks, all for 75L$ from Delights by Talena (DbT) .

I have shown the shirt/bra with shorts and shirt/bra with jeans. The bra can be worn on its own.

The last outfit is a mix of DbT and Glam Affair, and cost me 20L$!!.

The top can also be brought in a yellow version for 10L$ at DbT’s location on Lemania sim, and there are co-ordinating jeans along with plain solid colour versions of the top.

September Green

I have spent some time today checking that some of the freebies/cheapies that I have for you are still available, and also to update a notecard that Emmi has ready to pass on to anyone who is in need of it.

I have 3 outfits for you today, and first up on the catwalk is a mix of Pixel Dolls, Multiple Personality Designs (MPD) and Elymode. The shrug is part of a complete set, but can be used as a separate item & same with the included cami (not shown), and cost me only 75L$.

The pants were a freebie when Elymode reopened after a refurbishment of the mainstore. One store that I have been to when I was short on cheapies or dollarbies is Multiple Personality Designs (aka MPD). It is from MPD that I got the top, and it came with a skirt bottom (shown), alternative sculpted prim bottom (not shown) and matching green leggings (not shown).

The second outfit is a mix of OoEas! and Glam Affair (formerly Beauty Avatar). I mention this as it can be confusing if you can a folder named Glam Affair but the contents are named Beauty Avatar, and you didn’t know that Beauty Avatar was rebranded some time ago.

When OoEas! first opened, the shorty bustier was available in green (‘grass’) but now they have this lovely cherry red version as the current freebie, which you can find right next to the entrance. The Baviera pants are from Glam Affair discount section and you do need to go back once in a while as new stuff is being added.

It was from Glam Affair for the grand sum of 20L$ that I got the Capri top and the brown Baviera pants. The sneakers I got from Paw 2 Paw.

Have you been Gatcha’d?

Have you been to the Gatcha Festival? No? Well, you’re missing out on some fab bargains!!!!  If you go, you best go prepared for some lag. The festival can be found here.

Hey there, baby doll

It’s day four of this current FoaB series and the theme is baby-doll tops or dresses, hence the title.

I love baby-dolls, as they can be paired up with a classy pair of pants or a pair of jeans. Not only are there dresses or tops, but some sets of lingerie also come with baby-doll options. But the first is not really a baby-doll but a mini-dress, lol.

Rotten Defiance had a sale a few days. Single items were 10L$ with fatpacks at 60L$, so I got some great deals.

The next is a 2-in-1 set from Glam Affair. I am showing the baby-doll version, but it can be worn as a pant-set.

The 3rd and final outfit for the day is a mix-&-match of A Piece of Candy and Annabella’s Song. I was tipped off about these goodies y the FabFree blog.

Summer Newness

Carrying from the Summer is Here post, I thought I would blog 2 variations of my current look in SL.

Although Beauty Avatar may be familiar to most residents in regards to the skins and shapes on sale, the designers behind the Beauty Avatar label have ventured into designing clothes. Having noticed on the Beauty Avatar blog that they had just released a new collection, I thought I would pop in and have a look.

One of the items on sale is the ‘Jenna’ tunic. It has a checkerboard pattern and comes in 6 colours (Brown, Fuxia (sic), Blue, White, Emerald and Grey).  The top is on layers which to me is a must, as I am known occasionally to be wearing a tattoo or underies.

New to me is Laqroki Skins. Shibari (my beloved) gave me the landmark to the store some time ago, after my blog on skins, so the other week I decided to go and check it out. Like all stores that sell skins, they have free demos, often in fat packs. I will admit that I spent the best part of 6000 L$ on skins from Laqroki.

I purchased the ‘Jessica’ skin in the Peach & Fair skintones. Both fat packs contained 8 makeups with either brown or blonde brows, making a total of 16 skins in each fatpack. I also brought the ‘Claudia’ skin in the Peach skintone. Both Jessica and Claudia are from the Glow skin range.

fri.day is a new store in SL, and the following is taken directly from the fri.day blog (see my blogroll for the link)

Our first collection consists of mostly basics. We wanted to start with a good selection of separates that people could mix and match with anything in their wardrobe. We have a lot more planned beyond just the basics so keep an eye on fri.day!

As I had seen a review of this store on Evie’s blog, I thought I would have a look. They have the basic clothing items in store at the moment, but the quality of the design is very high…. I can’t wait to see the new releases.

I bought a few items at fri.day, including the Basic Leggings and Basic Flats, both in Black. The Basic Flats are not shown here, as I chose to wear the navy Saturday Flats from Shiny Things.

SKINS IN SL (part 2)

I was only introduced to Belleza by a friend in SL when both of us were at our favourite SL nightclub. The conversation in local chat turned into one about skins. My friend had said that she had spent 1800L$ on 2 skins from the Brooke Collection at Belleza. I was blown away at the amount she had spent, and thought I must check out this store.

When arriving at Belleza, you land in a large open atrium. To the right is the section for the men, and to the left, the women’s section.

Belleza Brooke Collection = Sun-Kissed (SK) 18

Each skin comes in 4 tones, Fair, Pale, Medium and Sun-Kissed. The demo skins are free.

The Brooke Collection, which brought me to this store in the first place, has makeup options in the four tones and come in 4 skin options (freckles & shaved, freckles, shaved and “natural”). Each makeup option is on sale for 900L$.

I came away with the makeup options 16 & 18 in the Sun-Kissed skin tone of the Brooke Collection, probably the most I had spent on skins in my first year in SL.

The most expensive collection in Belleza is the Belle Collection, which  has makeup options on sale for 1200L$ and with  2 skin options (“natural” and shaved). The cheapest collection I could find was the Ema Collection with the makeup options on sale for 700L$.

Belleza also offer skin and shape packages for 1100 L$ or 1400L$ .

My SL other half, Shibari Leary, introduced me to the next store, Beauty Avatar. All the skins come in 3 different tones: Natural, Light and Bronze. The demos are available for 1L$ and each makeup option is on sale for 1000L$.
