Last week it was Aparagus. This week it’s another vegetable… Yeah, it’s the turn of Eggplant (or Aubergine in UK and Europe). Different varieties of eggplant may range from indigo to white (The term eggplant originated as a description of white colored eggplants because they look like eggs). Chinese eggplant are a dark violet color. Thai eggplant are small, round, and colored forest green.

Oldies but goodies

I have not taken part in any blogger challanges before, but this one was too good to miss up. The idea is all Alysha Rannahan’s doing. It is quite simple. I didn’t have any of the stuff from my very early days in SL, as I tend to clear out my inventory every so often. But I did manage to find some old goodies (except for the skin ), and with these created this look.

Xplosion

I know that I haven’t been blogging much this month… I could say that it is due to my RL job but to be honest, I just haven’t been feeling like blogging. So while I had logged in to host a party at Cafe Andromed last night, I decided that I should take pictures of my current outfit.

I had picked up this gothy grunge outfit from Xplosion sometime ago but had not worn it until earlier in the week. It comes with a black lace corset and black lace panties version, so you get 2 outfits in one.

I had asked on Plurk where the best photo-friendly places were and I was given this link. On the list was Henry Tudor Lands, and part of the sim was a ruined church, with rain coming down (with appropiate sound effects). While I was taking the pictures I deided to convert the colour images to black and white pictures.

One for the Girls

As the title says, this is one for the girls. This is about the Just for the Girls Hunt, which has been going on throughout April, organised by the same team behind the successful Just for the Guys Hunts.

I have not done the JFTG hunt because it is some 100+ stores long… but I did come across 2 of the prizes, one from Alexohol and the other from my favourite grunge wear store, Ducknipple.

It was serendipitous that I had won the shoes from the Lucky Chair at Wetherby’s some days before I found the dress at Alexohol, and the shoes were in a matching colour. Also while I was at Body Heat looking the Georgia skins, I found the right skin/make-up on sale for 10L$. All thanks to that funny thing, Serendipity, lol.

The second outfit came from Ducknipple.  Although called Pink, in fact it is a purple leopard print dress.

I couldn’t get a picture of the full look as I couldn’t put on my shoes without the shoeshape replacing my skin with a default texture, . So I ended downloading the Emerald viewer which is based on the older v1 viewer, and haven’t had the problem since, lol.

Emmi seems to keep poking her head into Viki’s blogspace, LOL…. Well, she is Viki’s baby sister after all .  As I have already mentioned Emmi is kept on a tight leash by Viki re the L$.

So given the limited resources that Emmi has, she decided to see how little she could spend to get a good look. (Please note that the neko accessories were gifts from Viki!!)

Hi there!!!!  It’s the last in this mini-series but don’t worry I have some lovely treats for you, and also FoaB will be back in January 2010 with more goodies (yay !!!  \o/).

I apologise right now if I don’t say too much today, as I am not feeling too good (might have caught the dreaded winter sickness/diarrhoea bug , thanks to my lil bro).

Also today’s clothes can be got for FREE on the Down The Chimney Hunt!!!!!

First up today we have the Reaction from .:A&M:. (aka Acid & Mala). I decided to punk it up, and become a rock chick lol.

Secondly, a little black dress from !Doux Couture (formerly !Doux Petit Dahl). Little black dresses are a staple item of clothing in any respectable fashionista’s wardrobe….suitable for almost every occasion and can be dressed up or down. Here I paired it up with the La Rue Holiday & Silver belt and cuff from >ala mood<.

I decided to carry on with the rock theme, and created something I would wear to a nightclub.

And lastly, something with a Christmasy feel…the goodie from .44 Caliber.

When I put this little number on, I knew it had to have red boots and found a pair that I had gotten from First Flower. The little tasty treat is included with the outfit .

I have now reached the half way mark with this mini-series, and I am somewhat behind with getting freebies. But I have the great excuse of doing the Down The Chimney hunt, from which I have got some fabulous freebies .

One outfit that I found a lovely Steampunk unisex ensemble designed by Hyasynth Tiramisu (see Ember post). I had deleted the pic from my harddrive so I have posted it as individual post from Flickr (\o/).

A favourite store in SL is Mischief. When I saw on the Skipping Stones Hunt blog that Mischief were a participating store, I knew I had to go and found the hunt prize (cleverly disguised as a open book). My decision was a good one, as this sweater dress is just lovely & the leggings are part of the outfit.

A friend of mine in SL, Calisa Devin, told me about a store that I had not heard of….. Free Speerit. I decided to hop over to check out the store and found that they have freebies at the back, and a ‘Whatever you want to pay’ wall offering jeans and tops.

Found this outfit at Gnubie Store, made by Hyasynth Tiramisu, the creative brains behind the Silent Sparrow brand in SL. I would not look out of place at a Steampunk convention. This outfit also includes jacket tail and cuff options for male avatars, so it is pretty unisex .

It’s Day 3 of my week long special and, boy, what gems I have in store for you.

Just notice that today’s pics are all of a colour theme, various shades of pink with black…oh well.

First of today’s three freebies is a little gem I found on Xstreet, from Paradisis. I had to mod the skirt by moving it up a bit,  and yes, the skirt is really that short!!!! It reminds me of those Latin dance dresses, where there is very left to the imagination, lol. The outfit includes the top on all layers, sleeve extensions (as gloves) and panties on all layers. It just as well I did wear the panties….

Ok… So I like small and dumpy…It’s the pose I chose, honest. I love chenille; it has a softness that natural fibres don’t have. Cotton and linen can be stiff, and wool can be bulky…but chenille, being a man-made fibre is the opposite. I used to own a chenille sweater in RL and wore it so often, it became bare in places ….at least that can’t happen in SL, hehehehe.

I was talking to my friend Evie, while partying at Cafe Andromeda, when she said I should IM Soma Mayo, the creative brains behind Somapop, let him know how much I love the jeans which I blogged a few days ago.

So I did, and as a result of a long talk with Soma, I was given some freebies. These are currently available at Soma’s mainstore.
