Freebies up for grabs!!

Day 3 and I have more great freebies and cheapies from across the grid, so the title is bit of a misnomer.

A lot of stores are having sales at the moment, such as fri.day and Kyoot. The fri.day sale is still on but ends tomorrow (12.06.10), everything marked down to 50, 75 or 100L$. The Kyoot sale is on from 09.06.10 – 16.06.10, all hair is marked down to 25L$ and most of the store is 50L$. Such sales are great opportunities to get a bargain.

First up is an outfit I put together with thigns brought at the Kyoot sale and a freebie at the Strawberry Fair being held at Lark.

The top came with a prim bottom attachment which didn’t look right on Emmi. The hair that Emmi is wearing is one of the colour-changeable streaked styles from Truth. These styles come in the usual 5 colour packs but with streaks and non-streak versions, making 10 in the pack for the usual price 250L$. That’s a bargain of 25L$ per hair.

The next outfit is also a mix-&-match, featuring Kyoot and Sn@tch.

The tankdress I got from the Sn@tch riotvend the other day for 50L$, although the riotvend can go a bit lower (to 45L$). It is one of 5 in the set currently on offer till the riotvend is changed. I love the variety at Sn@tch, from the goth to grunge, from bright colours to neutrals and spring colours; there is something for everyone.

The last of today’s batch is from Kunglers, thanks to the lucky chair.

FoaB for June

Hey there!!!!! Yes, I’m back with this month’s Budget Fashion series. June is packed to the gills with hunts and for some unknown reason, I seem to burnt out regarding hunts at the moment. But that has not stopped me from getting some great cheapies and freebies for you, thanks to the lucky chairs/boards and Midnight Manias galore in SL.

To kick off, I have a lovely casual outfit from SF Designs, which has been blogged across the feeds to death. But, hey, when it comes to freebies & cheapies, I do it my own way.

I have been wearing this lately to hop across the grid in my search to bring the best freebies & cheapies. It exemplifies Emmi’s taste perfectly… Good quality textures and casualness at its best. SF Designs has this outfit available for the whole of June for both boys and girls. The boys’ version has a white tee.

The next 2 freebies come from [ Last Period ], a large Japanese store that caters well for us girls. I had been to [Last Period] before and had forgotten how good their stuff was. Thanks, Evie for the tp. While I was there, I joined the LP Fan Group (free to join) and bagged a few of the group gifts. The room to the right of the entrance is where you will find the group stuff, you will need the group tag to get the goodies. In the room where the new releases are, there is a free-for-everyone lucky board and I will showing that prize in a late FoaB Howwever, instead of naming their items like other places do, their items are numbered.

Vintage 2

I have been in a nostalgic mood lately, and my outfit is an example of that. I had heard of Kunglers but hadn’t visited the store until last night to haunt the lucky chairs. As I waiting for the magic E to come up, I did a bit of browsing in the store, which is in 2 sections, Dresses and Mix-&-Match.

It was in the Mix-&-March section that I found this lovely top. It comes with a baby-doll type prim attachment (not shown here). It caught my eye almost immediately as it reminded me of the famous rose window designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

I paired it with the pink jeans by So Many Styles that I got from The Dressing Room ad the pink espadrilles from Duh! which had been available for free as part of the SL Pink Shirt event to highlight the serious issue of bullying.

So, I give my thanks to Mr C R Mackkintosh for his artistic work, and the creative minds at Kunglers.

I’ve been Koshed!!

Ok, so what if the spelling is a little off. But when it’s the name of the store I went to, well So no more!! LOL.

What really caught my eye when I was perusing the clothes available in the store, were the textures of these separate pants and tops. They remind me of the brocaded silks and velvets of the Georgian period of English/British history. Similar patterns can be found on the wallpapers designed by William Morris in the 1880s – 1900s as part of the Arts and Crafts movement.

Amacci have a new improved Adena hairstyle available in the store as a fatpack of 45 colours for 0L$!!!! You may have seen this all across the feeds.

I first visited Kosh when I did the Fashion Freaks Hunt. The store is also in the Dark Katz Hunt in the 150s, but I didn’t get that far.

Izumiya

Izumiya is a Japanese store owned by Izumi Homewood. I had first across this little store when someone in the FabFree group had IMed the group to say there were freebies. I hadn’t been back to the store until I read Evie’s last post, so I hoofed on over to the store. Not only are there freebies in the end room upstairs, there are also some fabulous cheap items to buy, including full outfits for 25L!!!!!

Fashion on a Budget

Hi & happy May Day!! May Day marks the end of the uncomfortable winter half of the year in the Northern hemisphere, and it has traditionally been an occasion for popular and often raucous celebrations.

With the start of a new month, there are some good hunts coming up…Dark Katz and Myths & Legends are just 2 that Emmi and Viki will be doing. Also, it means its time for a return of my budget miniseries. And boy! do I have some fab goodies for you this time.

To kick off, are some goodies from Mashooka. Mashooka are celebrating their 3rd year anniversary and until Sunday, they have put out approximately 20 gold-wrapped gift boxes containing jewelry and clothes. The first 2 outfits are a mish-mash of separates, creating great casual looks.

The first is the Blossom blouse and Ash pantalon jeans.

The blouse is really a baby-doll top, and the flexi attachments are modifiable so they can e made to fit your shape accordingly. I call the pants ‘jeans’ but the texturing is more of a leather-like material. No matter what the material used, the pants are a good addition to any wardrobe.

The Tristin blouse is a great top, so flexible in styling that it can used with a classy pinstripe suit for the formal look or be worn with jeans for a casual look.

As you can see in the picture, the top can be sheer as my latest tattoo (which I got for free at the Moloko shack @ the Alternative Fair). Also the colour of the top compliments the jeans beautifully.

The last outfit from Mashooka is the Dips minidress. It also comes with the black bolero jacket.

I wanted to do a photoshoot on location. The shoot took place over 3 sims, Japan Chubu (which is home the SL version of the famous Matsumoto castle), Japan Kansai (home to an Edo period settlement) and China Sichuan (home of the SL’s Great Wall of China). Multiple Personality Designs

I have been to Multiple Personality Designs or MPD as it is known to me and my fellow members of the FabFree group. What is unusual about about this store is that the outfits are on sale for 1L$ each. Yes! I did say 1L$, and if you still don’t believe me, you can check it for yourself.

During my visit to MPD today, I bagged a few dollarbies. Some were the easter eggs left lying around in the store. I fell love with the outfit that was found in the #8 egg and I have chosen to show it to you.

It was the colours that I love… the pearly quality and the hand-drawn textures are fabulous.

I found the perfect outside location on the Japan Chubu sim. It is home to the SL version of the famous Matsumoto castle, and is next door to Japan Kanto sim where I found a traditional Japanese fishing village with sampans in the harbour and racks full of fish drying. I admit that I will come back to the Japan Chubu & Japan Kanto sims again, because I love the traditional architecture and the tranquility of the sims. In SL you can travel to the other side of the world without having to purchase a airline ticket.

Dolly Rocks

Just a quick post today.

Sometimes something will grab your attention because of the styling, colour or texturing. This was the case when I saw this dress from DollyRock. What also made it an attention grabber was the fact it is available on XStreet for an promotion price of 100L$.

The soft suede in this lovely blueish grey colour is just up Emmi’s style street.

Belleza

I know that the new Belleza group gift has been or will be blogged about alot, but I will blog them anyways.

I am pleased to see that Tricky Boucher has made a new pale tone, called Fair, which is paler than the existing Pale tone. He has also made a darker tone, Mocha, which I think would be ideal for those ethnic avatars in SL.

The gift set includes all tones, with eyebrow, cleavage and hairbase options, which in my opinion is a big plus and why I joined the Belleza group in the first place. However it costs 250L$ to join, but that is a bargain when a skin in the store can cost 1800L$.

New Stuff

Hi, finally we have some sunshine here in the UK And in celebration, I have decided to show some new things I have either found recently or been sent by one of the groups I belong too.

Whilst following the FabFree group chat, someone posted a Slurl to the R.icielli store saying there was a free dress. In fact there was a free skirt for everyone and a group gift in the notices (the group was free to join).

As it is usual for a Double Dose to be posted on a Sunday, I have given the new freebies from R.icielli the honour of being featured, lol.

The skirt is the ANITA High Waist and comes in this lovely yellow colour. I decided to pair it up with a black tanktop that I got from Elate and the stockings from Runo Runo.

As Emmi is on a budget and the Ving boots from Shiny Things are 500L$, I felt that would too much for Emmi to spend. So I tp’d over to Duh! as I had seen on a previous visit a set of boots similar to the Shiny Things ones for a fraction of the price, but of high quality Since buying the Leather Work Boots, Emmi hasn’t taken them off, lol. They are just what a Neko Emmi needs *giggles*

The second freeie from R.icielli is the Brenda dress (in black only). This would make a nice alternative cocktail dress, with the large fan-like collar and off-at-an-angle bow at the waist. The skirt is not sculpted as it is on the system skirt layer.

The other new thing is the skin. It is the new Elle skin just released by Belleza. Tricky Boucher has released 2 new skin tones, a lighter tone called Fair and a darker tone called Mocha. A group gift of an exclusive makeup in all 7 tones was sent out last night SLT.
